PF3.2 for the Red Cross Lower Austria

Digitization is leading to profound changes in all areas of life. Independent welfare organizations must also master the challenges of digital transformation.

The Österreichische Rote Kreuz Niederösterreich will use Pathfinder from now on to efficiently document their entire active and passive network infrastructure. Emergencies and special situations are part of everyday life at the ÖRK. Fast response-time and smooth operations in everyday IT are tremendously essential, as the well-being of people can depend on it. Safeguarding technical operations and the importance of a functioning network infrastructure are self-evident against the backdrop of the ÖRK’s mission.

Austria also has a program for the protection of critical infrastructures, called APCIP. Synonymous with the  KRITIS-Verordnung in Germany, the APCIP’s main plan aims to guarantee the secure provision of social and healthcare services in the event of a “digital emergency”. The Austrian Red Cross, like the German Red Cross, is classified as critical infrastructure. Comprehensive and complete network documentation is the basis for numerous measures required of critical infrastructure operators in the APCIP. We wish the Red Cross of Lower Austria every success in this endeavor with Pathfinder!
